The CD model has more features than the JOKER 7000 copy turning Machine (also referred to as a copy lathe). When turning highly detailed profiles the speed at which the cutter travels can be pro- grammed up to 6 zones. With the variation of the position of the cutter, a turning diameter up to 380 mm is easily archieved in copy mode. Knowledge of NC is not required for programming.
The WEMA JOKER 7000 CD shows the features of the JOKER 7000: the copying slide runs on hardened and grooved low-maintenance ball transfer guides. The lathe chisel is located very close to the revolving collar plate which guarantees vibration-free turning of the workpiece profile.

The profile is scanned hydraulically using the specimen or profile template.
   
The standard design of the machine is equipped with 2 programmable axes: one longitudinal axis and one turning axis.
   
The drive unit for the supports is fitted to the rear of the machine to provide plenty of space and freedom of movement on the operating side. The operating and control elements are both coordinated on a travelling control panel. All wires and ducts are collected in an energy guide chain to prevent disturbances. All control and electronic components are located on the machine tool table. A separate electrical-control cabinet is therefore not required.
   
The machine can be quickly changed from turning to milling by means of a quick-change system.
   
The hydraulic copying equipment can be used for face turning up to diameters of approx. 450 mm by attaching an additional tool.
   
The particularly heavy cast iron base is completely rigid and torsion-free.
