Manual lathes of the series WEMA ALPHA are solid machines for professional use, with their benchbeds made of grey cast iron and their structures also made of high-quality grey cast iron. Heavy welded steel plates form the columns of these machines.
   
The motor is held in moving bearings on a rocker in the left column, and transmits the rotational motion via a robust poly-V-belt onto the four-step pulley of the shaft in the headstock.
